What is the capacity of each of the Ritchie Center's venues?

How far in advance can I book an event at the Ritchie Center?

What do I need to provide to confirm my event booking?
If a venue is available for your event, we will place a hold for the date and time requested. To confirm your booking, you must provide a signed event agreement, 50 percent (non-refundable) deposit and certificate of insurance naming the University of Denver as an additionally insured party.
Is parking available for events? What is the cost?
Parking is available in different University parking lots. Parking may be pre-purchased for an event or paid by event attendees. Depending on the nature of your event, our parking fees range from $5-$20. Learn more about parking options for Ritchie Center events.
What items are prohibited in the Ritchie Center?
The following items are prohibited at the Ritchie Center:
- Outside food and drink
- Artificial noisemakers, air horns, whistles, etc.
- Glass bottles, containers, etc.
- Confetti, frisbees, balls, helium balloons, projectiles
- Laser pointers or other disturbing items
- Oversized signs or banners (larger than 28″ x 22″)
- Signage with a stick or pole attached
- Derogatory/defamatory clothing or signage
- Illegal drugs or alcohol
- Firearms, weapons, explosives or other harmful items
- Hard-shell coolers, containers, thermoses
- Animals (except licensed service animals)
- Other items deemed prohibited by Ritchie Center staff
Are outside catering vendors allowed at the Ritchie Center?
Unfortunately, outside catering is not allowed at the Ritchie Center. Sodexo is the exclusive catering vendor for the Ritchie Center. If you would like more information about Sodexo’s catering services, please contact Eva Bennett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are non-profit rental rates available?
Yes, we do offer non-profit rental rates with proof of 501c3 status. Please contact our scheduling staff at 303-871-7577 or email@example.com.
What happens if I need to cancel my event?
Please contact us immediately if you need to cancel an event. Your 50 percent deposit is non-refundable, however, if your event can be rescheduled, we will work with you to find a different date.
Does the Ritchie Center provide disability access and accessible seating?
Yes, handicap parking spots and a disability access location are available on the north side of our facility. Accessible seating is available in each of our venues.
Does the Ritchie Center provide box office services?
Yes, if requested, we can provide box office services. Please speak with our scheduling staff at 303-871-7577 or firstname.lastname@example.org regarding your box office needs when booking your event.
Do I have to hire the Ritchie Center's staff for my event? Can I have volunteers help with my event?
All events are required to hire a baseline level of Ritchie Center staff including custodial and event services. We welcome volunteers; however, they cannot replace our event staff, who are trained in event and emergency protocols.
